After missing the entire 2000 season with an injured back Rich Iandoli is calling it a career today. Rich was a key part of 2 YBL Championships. His best season was in 1997 when he batted .372( 16-43 ) with 16 walks, and was on the 1998 All Star Team at Fenway Park where he went 1-3 with an RBI. The team announced that Rich will be staying on with the team as its chief financial officer.

Long time Alibrandis outfielder David Sprague has officially called it quits from playing baseball in the YBL. He was one of the original 9 in the very first game played in 1990 and has been part of the team his whole YBL career. David played 8 full season, and was injured for 4 season with various aliments, and his career numbers are very impressive. He was a career .335 hitter, his best year was 1998 when he batted .363 with 3 home runs and 22 RBI's. That season he was a member of the YBL's Fenway Park All Star Game, where he went 3-3 and was named the games co-MVP. The team has announced that he will stay involved with the team as its official statistion.

Paul Wright has announced his retirement form the YBL today. Paul played 4 seasons(94,98-00) and ends his career with a .299 average. His 1994 season earned him the teams Rookie of the Year Award. He went 20-67(.299) and he scored 17 Runs while driving in 10 RBI's. The team announced that he will be staying with the team in the front office as the Sports Information Director.

Team President David Treska was voted onto the League's Board of Directors for the 6th season.
